Upon
enrollment, the Dr. Emma Sloop Child Development Centertuition will be based on scholarships that are given based on family income level. Emma Sloop Fink Child Development Center does not discriminate based on race, sex, color, creed, national origin, age or disability. Scholarships will not be awarded to any family who currently receives another source of subsidy or is eligible for subsidy. For further information on tuition amounts, you may visit the center, call or email (828-733-4229 vguinn@crossnoreschool.org). We will require a nonrefundable registration
fee for each child. This fee will be used to offset administrative
costs. Tuition is due in advance of services. Failure on
the part of the responsible person to pay within 30 days
after the tuition due date will result in withdrawal of
the child from the Center.
Tuition
and fees at the Dr. Emma Sloop Child Development Center
are subject to change as the increased cost of operation
warrants and the Center will notify parents 30 days in advance
of any change in fees. The tuition rates are determined
on the basis of a 12-month school year. Therefore, the fees
are fixed for each month throughout the year. (i.e., fees
remain the same regardless of any days the Center might
close during a month for holidays and/or due to inclement
weather or other conditions. Make-up days are not allowed.
Center fees will continue to be charged during your family's
vacation periods to maintain the child's slot in the Center.
The
Center is eager to accept most forms of financial assistance
available to parents. We participate in the Department of
Social Services' Child Care subsidy Program. If you fail
to pay your portion of fees agreed upon with DSS, your slot
will be terminated and you will not be eligible for any
other child care assistance from the county.
We are also a More At Four Program. The More At Four program was designed to provide quality educational experiences in order to enhance kindergarten readiness. The program is Free to 4-year-old children of families who qualify, community-based voluntary, and designed to prepare 4-year-olds in North Carolina for success in school.
